Thomas Edison - Poster

I was asked to create a poster based on a historical event or person strictly made from only typography. The limitations of this assignment included the strict guidelines of a type only design. The design process I chose was extremely time consuming and very complex. I had to conduct research on the subject and reference of similar designs before beginning. I did not have to change plans in the middle of the process due to the successful planning from the start. This project receives a lot of attention and positive feedback due to its complex design and hand lettering. I used Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign to complete the tasks needed for this project. I also conducted multiple sketches prior to working on the computer. I included this project in my portfolio because it showcases my attention to detail, artistic hand lettering and dedication to completing such complex work.
